August 19th 6-9pm : Herbal Elixirs and Intuitive Mead Making with Suanny Upegui of Casa Finca
$75.00
Join us August 19th for an Herbal Social and Intuitive Mead Making Workshop with Suanny Upegui of Casa Finca
Sip herbal elixirs and learn how to make Mead, a honey wine, the first known alcoholic beverage consumed by mankind and is believed to predate wine by nearly three thousand years.
Suanny will lead a demonstration on how to make drinking shrubs, herbal elixirs and mead.
Mead is an alcoholic fermented drink of water and honey through the process of wild yeast activation.
Mead goes way back as perhaps one of the first alcoholic/fermented drinks recorded in history from Africa. Ancient Greeks believed it to be the drink of deities (bees as being the messenger of creator) that activated magical powers.
In this workshop we will connect to plants and intentionally ferment a drink that will activate our super powers individually and/or collectively. We will explore ways of how fermentation works with honey and pollen. Nourish our intuition and our taste buds.
Suanny Upegui, born in Embera Dobida territory, Afro-Colombiana and Indigena - is Founder of Casa Finca, Community Organizer/bridge, Psycho-spiritual, embodiment and Medicine Guide.
